Contraception Service

The Pharmacy Contraception Service was commissioned as an Advanced service from April 2023. From 1st December 2023, changes were made to the service to include both initiation and on-going supply of OC. From 31st March 2025, Pharmacy First will be bundled together with the Pharmacy Contraception Service and Hypertension Case-Finding Service. To continue to receive your payments, you will be required to provide all three of these services.

From 31st December 2025, Pharmacy contractors are required to use the National EHC template for all consultations. The use of the local template will no longer be available. Please refer to the below guidance for instructions on completing the national template correctly.
