The Pharmacy First launched as an Advanced Service on 31st January 2024.

The Community Phamacy England website includes a range of resources to support you and your team to deliver the service.

Taking a picture with a phone (and the light) can make it easier – get the child to do a dinosaur/lion/monster roar.

Firm hold by carer often the key for the reluctant although if the pathway is from age 5 years may not be as much of a challenge.


Drop-in online sessions – LPC

To help you through the first few weeks of the new Pharmacy First Service we have arranged three drop-in sessions where you can ask for advice or clarification, raise any issues you may have, or just share your experience so far.

The drop-ins have been arranged on the following days and will be hosted on MS Teams.

Drop-in online sessions – CPE

Community Pharmacy England will be hosting a series of online drop-in sessions around the launch date of the Pharmacy First service to assist pharmacy owners and their teams with any queries they may have on the service.

The final drop-in sessions will be held between 1-2pm on Microsoft Teams on:

  • Thursday 8th February 2024.
