- NHSE have launched a guide for Healthcare Teams Safeguarding Adults – A Guide for Healthcare Teams
- The Government website hosts guidance and resources on safeguarding children
- The Royal Pharmaceutical Society has produced professional practice quick reference guides on protecting children and young people and vulnerable adults, available to its members
- The National Pharmacy Association also produced safeguarding resources in October 2015, available to its members
- The GPhC produced a GPhC factsheet about Female genital mutilation and the mandatory duty for pharmacy professionals to report this
- NHS England has a safeguarding steering group and provides information on different aspects of safeguarding on its website
- The Department of Health’s Care and support statutory guidance provides guidance on sections 42–46 of the Care Act 2014
- Age UK have also produced a useful factsheet on safeguarding older people from abuse and neglect

Training
Training for Pharmacists and Technicians can be accessed via CPPE. It is recommended that all GPHC registered pharmacy staff have completed and passed Level 2 Safeguarding.
Non-registered staff can now register as a non-registered professional on CPPE and complete Level 1 safeguarding if they wish.
